Merchant Agreement

1. Using Local Break as a Merchant

Local Break provides tools that help you:

  • List your business or services
  • Accept payments through Stripe
  • Manage customer interactions
  • Promote your offerings to locals and visitors

You are responsible for the accuracy of your business information and for complying with all applicable laws.

2. Stripe as the Payment Processor

All payments on Local Break are processed by Stripe. By using Local Break's payment features, you agree to:

Stripe may request additional information (such as identity documents, business details, or tax information). Failure to complete these steps may limit your ability to receive payouts.

3. Merchant Responsibilities

As a Merchant, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, up-to-date business information
  • Deliver goods or services as described
  • Maintain clear pricing and policies
  • Comply with all laws, regulations, and licensing requirements
  • Handle customer service issues promptly
  • Not engage in fraudulent, misleading, or prohibited activities

You are solely responsible for your interactions with customers.

4. Fees

Local Break may charge service or listing fees. Stripe charges payment processing fees. All applicable fees will be disclosed before you complete a transaction.

You agree to pay all fees associated with your use of Local Break and Stripe.

5. Payouts

Payouts are handled by Stripe and follow Stripe's payout schedule. Stripe may:

  • Delay payouts
  • Hold funds
  • Reverse transactions
  • Require additional verification

Local Break is not responsible for payout delays or holds initiated by Stripe.

6. Refunds & Chargebacks

You agree to honor Local Break's Refund Policy and comply with Stripe's dispute procedures.

If a customer disputes a charge:

  • Stripe may withdraw funds from your account
  • You are responsible for providing documentation
  • You may be responsible for chargeback fees

7. Taxes

You are responsible for:

  • Reporting your income
  • Paying applicable taxes
  • Complying with local tax regulations

Local Break does not provide tax advice.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your Merchant account if:

  • You violate this Agreement
  • You violate Stripe's policies
  • You engage in fraudulent or harmful behavior
  • We determine your activity poses a risk to customers or the platform

You may stop using Local Break at any time.
